Get free COVID-19 rapid self-test kits at select library branches 

The Charleston County Public Library is offering free COVID-19 rapid self-test kits at select library branches beginning Monday, April 11.. Seven libraries throughout the county will give away these self-test kits to the public.  

These COVID-19 rapid antigen tests will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last at the following branches:   

• Baxter-Patrick James Island: 1858 South Grimball Rd, Charleston  

• Cynthia Graham Hurd/St. Andrews Library: 1735 N. Woodmere Drive, Charleston 

• John L. Dart Library: 1067 King Street, Charleston 

• John’s Island Library: 3531 Maybank Highway, Johns Island 

• McClellanville Library: 222 Baker Street, McClellanville 

• Otranto Road – 2261 Otranto Rd, North Charleston  

• St. Paul’s Hollywood – 5130 SC-165, Hollywood 

The testing kits are limited to one test per person, and you must be 18 or older to receive a kit. The giveaway is a partnership between CCPL and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
