Thanks to a partnership with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, the Juvenile Detention Center library gives residents access to a dedicated learning space with a collection of over 600 titles developed with resident input. The collection includes fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, books in Spanish, educational materials, and more. The library is visited weekly by a CCPL librarian, who offers youth-based programing such as book discussions, author talks, and crafting sessions.
