Biography:

Radia Baxter is the Director of Education and Programs at the Charleston County Sheriff’s Department where she is responsible for the development and implementation of programs to empower and prepare adult and juvenile residents for workforce development and successful re-entry into society. Along with her day-to-day duties, Radia hosts a podcast through the CCSO titled “The Beat” where she interviews important figures throughout the agency and community.

Radia also serves as a Board Director for the YWCA Greater Charleston. She previously worked with Charleston Promise Neighborhood as their Charleston Engagement Program Director. Radia graduated from the College of Charleston with a degree in Business Administration and Management.

Radia was appointed to the CCPL Board of Trustees in January 2021.
