Contest Rules & Parameters
Participants may submit multiple entries. All submissions are due by midnight on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019. Submissions will only be accepted online.
Review the template and dimension requirements, and submit your design based upon the stated specifications. All designs must adhere to the dimensions of the library card and keychain. The card dimensions are 3.125”x1.875”; and the keychain measures 2.0”x0.75”. All submissions must include the CCPL logo (see information below). Submissions with inappropriate language and/or subject material will be disqualified.
Download an archive file with CCPL's logos and a template of the library card and keychain.
Submissions may be in any art medium (illustration, pen, photography, etc.). Designs must be high resolution, at least 300dpi, and the following design formats will be accepted: .jpeg, .png, .ai, .eps, .psd, and .pdf.
All photos and illustrations must be original works and free of copyright restrictions. Any submissions that include copyrighted materials will be disqualified.
All entrants must be 18 or older. CCPL and Charleston County Government employees are ineligible to participate.
A library committee will select the finalists, and the public will have a chance to vote online for the winning card design to be printed and made available to CCPL patrons in the spring of 2019. The winner of CCPL’s Library Card Design Contest will receive a CCPL prize package, public recognition, and plenty of exposure across the county – CCPL currently serves residents with 16 locations and a bookmobile, and five new branches are in various stages of the design/construction process.
Submissions become the property of CCPL and will not be returned. No late entries will be accepted.
