Regarding the Nov. 29 news article "Supreme Court to hear president's bid to reshape census": Whenever I read about President Trump's suit before the Supreme Court regarding the counting of undocumented immigrants, I am struck by the fact that the gist of most of the articles relates to congressional apportionment and/or the distribution of federal dollars to the individual states. Why not talk about how important it is to know just how many people there are in the various towns and cities across the United States, so that local jurisdictions are able to plan for their futures?
