    • Abstract:
Summary: Children born in South Carolina are far less likely to experience success throughout life than those born in most other states, partly because of the high poverty rate and low levels of parent education here, according to the Quality Counts 2007 report from Editorial Projects in Education, which published Education Week magazine, which ranked South Carolina 41st in the nation for its students' chance for success.
