Summary: The author, Dawn D. Boyer, Ph.D., has been pursuing genealogy since a teen, but took on an intense research project in the late 1990's that enabled her to add thousands of names to a genealogy database, resulting in a list of over 136,000 individuals, primarily those with ancestral relatives and descendants, in the Carteret County, North Carolina, Monroe County, Tennessee, and Dauphine County, Pennsylvania georgraphic area. She transcribed lineages from dozens of country books, multiple face-to-face family interviews , transcribed letters, newspaper articles, and magazine stories, as well as performed research via Internet bulletin boards, family bibles, and court records. The results were data-rich lineages of hundres of families and surnames.
