    • Abstract:
With a goal of increasing and intensifying public awareness on environmental and development issues in the Eastern Africa region, the Eastern Africa Environmental Network (EAEN) has been actively involved in Environmental Education (EE) networking with the objective of creating opportunities to disseminate and share information. Through networking, the EAEN has managed to bring people together, deliberate on various environmental issues, advocate and influence policies, and create learning opportunities for many. In this article, the author discusses how the EAEN networking activities helped in the provision of environmental information, which enables citizens to understand the relationship between the factors of economic development and the natural environment.
