- Abstract:
Countries all over the world find themselves in the throes of revolution, change, transition or transformation. Because of the complexities of these momentous events, it is no simple matter to describe and evaluate them. This paper suggests that comparative educationists apply a combination of three theories as a lens through which such national transitions could be viewed: transitology, social action theory and critical theory. The strengths and weaknesses of each are discussed. [For the complete Volume 14, Number 1 proceedings, see ED568088.]
