    • Abstract:
This project is the result of extensive research about the practical applications of "National Socialism and the Holocaust" in historical and political education in and outside schools and in educational work with young people. The multifaceted documentation, on CD-ROM, booklet and a Web site is aimed at a broad international and educational audience, in Germany and the English-speaking world. The CD-ROM contains substantial supplementary material and project descriptions that illustrate the entire thematic context and serve as reference work for questions about Holocaust education in Germany. Various entry points have been built into the project to enable the CD-ROM user to access this documentation based on his/her own needs and questions. All materials can be downloaded, printed, and used without computers. The project's booklet is divided into six sections: "Preface" (Uwe-Karsten Heye, Joachim Sartorius, and Ulrich Bopp); "Introduction" (Regina Wyrwoll); "Holocaust Education in the United States and Germany" (Sybil Milton); "Education on National Socialism and the Holocaust" (Annegret Ehmann and Hanns-Fred Rathenow); "Chronology"; and "How To Use the CD-ROM."
