This set of notes is designed to introduce the student to the development and use of computer-based models, and to analyze quantitative phenomena in the life sciences. Only BASIC programming language is used. The ten chapter titles are: The Growth of a Single Species; The Association of Two Species; Parameter Determination; Automated Parameter Determination; Multivariable Search Methods; Life Tables; Applications to Genetics; Random Processes; Compartmental Analysis; and Simulating Tree Growth with a Computer.
