    • Abstract:
Forty-one high school and college science and mathematics teachers who attended National Science Foundation Summer Institutes in 1955 were interviewed one year later. The interviews were intended to get information about what attracted the participants to the institutes, how they financed their participation, their opinion of the organization of the institute, how they have benefited from the institute, and background information. This report discusses the results of the interviews and provides many quotations from participants as well as thumbnail sketches. (BB)
