      Michael Arias, who is a special effects and digital technology consultant and a team of talented producers, directors, and animators from South Korea, Japan and the US accomplished an animation mission with 'The Animatrix' scheduled for release in June 2003 on DVD and VHS by Warner Home Video. It is a collection of nine film-quality animations. Each animation, or episode tells a new story set in the worlds of 1999's blockbuster VR action thriller 'The Matrix.' According to Arias who was one of the Animatrix producers, 'The Matrix' trilogy was the perfect vehicle on which to base the Animatrix episodes. That 3D technology played a heavy role in the project.
