Feeding America: Immigrants in the Restaurant Industry and Throughout the Food System Take Action for Change.

The article discusses the social conditions of immigrant employees in the United States restaurant industry and social action on their behalf. An overview of the U.S. nonprofit organization and worker center the Restaurant Opportunities Center (ROC) United's efforts to improve wages and working conditions for restaurant industry workers, including in regard to their strategy of engaging the workers, consumers and the restaurant owners, is provided. An overview of the restaurant industry's employment of undocumented immigrants is also provided.
