The Current Juncture in the Context of the Last 50 Years in Colombia. (English)

This article discusses the last 50 years of Colombian history. The author comments on the social changes that have occurred over this time period, including urbanization, an expanding middle class, and the extension of women's rights. He also considers the economic development in the country, as well as the establishment and expansion of various political parties and government institutions, such as the Policia Nacional (National Police) and the Fuerzas Militares (Military Forces) under the Ministero de Defensa Civil (Ministry of Civil Defense).
