    • Abstract:
Pregnant women should consider getting a flu shot as normal changes during pregnancy increase a woman's risk of catching the flu. Babies born to mothers who got a flu shot are protected from the flu for the 1st 6 months of life. Only 50% of pregnant women receive flu shots, but the CDC recommended that everyone 6 months and older get the shot annually. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
