      Having in mind the literature data regarding the fungal infections involvement in respiratory pathology, we aimed to evaluate the number of infections in our clinic. Using the archive data we completed the table including the total number of respiratory infections, as well as the number of lower respiratory infections, trying to differentiate their etiology. Our data are related to the data recorded in the literature. We intend to continue this study, using classical and modern microbiology techniques, in order to clarify the specific yeast infections involvement, as well as the issues related to antifungal medical drugs resistance.       Având în vedere datele din literatura de specialitate privind implicarea infecţiilor fungice în patologia respiratorie, ne-am propus să evaluăm numărul acestor infecţii în clinica noastră. Utilizând datele din arhiva secţiei, am completat un tabel în care am inclus numărul de infecţii respiratorii totale şi respectiv numărul de infecţii respiratorii joase, încercând să delimităm etiologia acestora. Datele obţinute sunt asemănătoare cu cele din literatura de specialitate. Ne propunem să continuăm acest studiu utilizând atât tehnici de microbiologie clasică, dar şi tehnici moderne, pentru a elucida implicarea infecţiei cu levuri şi aspectele legate de rezistenţa la medicamentele antifungice.
