STRATEGY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF POMERANIA EUROREGION AND BUILDING OF COMPETITIVE BORDER REGION.

Processes connected with globalization and regional integration create new challenges for the border regions. This change in the perception of the border regions should indicate that these regions can be competitive. Strategic planning within the regions is the result of competition between regions. The paper presents priorities of strategy for the development of Pomerania Euroregion in the years 2014-2020, which have to contribute to building and strengthening its competitiveness. Integracja Europy nie jest możliwa bez współpracy terytorialnej, w której dużą rolę odgrywają euroregiony. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie planowanych działań i priorytetów strategii rozwoju na lata 2014-2020 w Euroregionie Pomerania, które mają się przyczynić do budowania i wzmacniania jego konkurencyjności. Priorytetowe działania, ujęte w nowej strategii rozwoju dla badanego obszaru, koncentrują się wokół takich obszarów, jak: edukacja, turystyka, usługi publiczne, centra gospodarcze oraz budowa społeczeństwa obywatelskiego.
