    • Abstract:
The article reprints four translations of early works of German film theory. Included are "Cinematographic Archives" by Ludwig Brauner from the November 4, 1908 issue of "Der Kinematograph," "In the Cinematographic Theater" by Berthold Viertel from the journal "März" in 1910, and "Mechanized Immortality" by Joseph Landau and ""Proposal for the Establishment of an Archive for Cinema-Films" by Franz Goerke, both from "Der Deutsche Kaiser im Film" from 1912.
