- Abstract:
An essay is presented which discusses the role that immigration to the U.S. played in the country's cultural imperialism, often referencing anecdotes from the author's experiences attending the Catholic boarding school for Native Americans Holy Rosary Mission near the Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota. An overview of the impact that U.S. cultural imperialism had on Native Americans, including in regard to imposing Christianity on Native Americans, is provided.
