POLICY AND DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY IN THE EUROPEAN UNION IN THE CONCEPTION OF ECONOMICS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

The ongoing process of globalization, the connections between countries and the widespread environmental problems contributed to the change in the attitude to the economic processes and to science of widely understood social welfare. The new scientific discipline i.e. the economy of sustainable development, introduced the holistic approach to finding solutions in this sphere. It allowed to work out and later consequently to implement the European Union Sustainable Development Strategy, which has been executed for 10 years. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Postępujący proces globalizacji, powiązania pomiędzy krajami i pojawiające się na coraz większą skalę problemy środowiskowe spowodowały zmianę postrzegania procesów gospodarczych oraz podejścia w badaniach szeroko rozumianego dobrobytu ludzkości. Nowa dyscyplina naukowa, jaką jest ekonomia zrównoważonego rozwoju, wprowadziła podejście holistyczne przy rozwiązywaniu pojawiających się w tym obszarze problemów.
