    • Abstract:
This article discusses the printing, publishing, and distribution of religious bulls by the Dominicans at the convent of San Pedro Mártir in Toledo, Spain, from the late 15th to 17th centuries. The authors comment on the sale of bulls and indulgences by the Catholic Church during the Crusades in an effort to finance the conflict against the Muslims. They consider the role of the Spanish branch of the Catholic Church in the creation of these documents and, in turn, in the funding of the war. The economic conditions experienced by Spain during this period, particularly among the Dominicans, are also explored.
