The article reports on a Rapid Access initiative which was implemented at the Washington state mental health agency Sound Mental Health in an effort to address long patient wait times and an increase in patients. A discussion of reaction to the initiative which was voiced by Katrina Egner, director of sound response services at Sound Mental Health, is discussed.
