    • Abstract:
This research aimed to determine the correlation between job satisfaction and organizational commitment of the staff of a Latin American agribusiness company located in southern Mexico. This study was exploratory, descriptive and correlational, and had the participation of the 36 employees of this small company. We found that the employees of agribusiness are satisfied but with no commitment defined. Employees perceived that their income was not proportional to the amount of work done, and the company does not recognize their work. The agribusiness staff has not defined its commitment because the workers do not identify with the company and its objectives in order to increase their sense of belonging. Moreover, no relationship was found between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. It is suggested to implement a variable pay program linked to a program of employee participation, in order to increase job satisfaction, achieve greater organizational commitment and thus, increase the productivity of the company to benefit the economic development of the locality and Mexico. • Abstract:
