NUR DAĞI (GAVUR DAĞI) PLATOSUNDA DERLENEN BAZI YEREL KELİMELERİN ETİMOLOJİSİ ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME. (Turkish)

A REVIEW OF SOME LOCAL WORDS COMPILED FROM ON THE ETYMOLOGY AT MOUNT NUR (GAVUR DAĞI) PLATEAU. (English)

This article examined some local words used by the people living in the east of Mount Nur (Gavur Mountain), which is raised in various ways debates. The study zone encompassed the centers, towns and villages of Islahiye and Nurdagi districts of Gaziantep, and the center, towns and villages of Türkoglu district of Kahramanmaras city. The region is located in the east of Mount Nur (Gavur Mountain) and it lies from south to north. The majority of the people, except some little settlement places, had been living as nomads until the Firka-i Islahiye settlement action between 1865-1866 by Ottoman Empire to make nomad Turkmen tribes settled. As a result of this settlement, some large and small settlement places were founded both in the east and west of Nur Mountains. The majority of the people subject to this study still conserve old Turkish beliefs and they still use many words from old Turkish. By surveying the related literature and some local sources, nearly a thousand words were determined in the present study, and a hundred of them were examined in terms of their meanings, origins, structures and forms. It was determined that nearly 90% of these words are Turkish. Türk tribes, who were leading nomad lives in the region until 150 years ago, managed to bring their cultures and languages without any influence from other cultures to our days. However, the historical development process of 40 words also examined and their current status in Anatolian accents were examined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bu çalışmada, zaman zaman çeşitli şekillerde gündeme gelen Nur Dağı (Gavur Dağı)'nın doğusunda yaşayan halkın kullandığı bazı yerel kelimeler incelenmiştir. Araştırma alanı Gaziantep'in İslâhiye ve Nurdağı ilçe merkezleri, belde ve köyleri ile Kahramanmaraş'ın Türkoğlu ilçe merkezi, belde ve köylerini kapsamaktadır. Bölge, Nur Dağı (Gavur Dağı)nm doğusunda yer alıp güneyden kuzeye doğru uzanır. Osmanlı Devleti'nin 1865-1866 yılları arasında göçebe Türkmen aşiretlerini yerleşik hayata geçirmek için yapmış olduğu Fırka-i İslâhiye iskân harekâtına kadar bu coğrafyada küçük yerleşim yerleri dışında halkın çoğunluğu, konar-göçer olarak yaşamaktaydı. Osmanlı Devleti'nin yapmış olduğu bu iskân neticesinde Nur Dağlarının hem batısında hem de doğusunda irili ufaklı yerleşim merkezleri kurulmuştur. Araştırmaya konu olan bölgede, halkın çoğunluğu bugün dahi eski Türk inançlarını muhafaza etmekte; eski Türkçeden günümüze kadar gelen birçok kelimeyi kullanmaktadır. Yapılan alan araştırması ve bazı yerel kaynakların taranması neticesinde bölgede konuşulan yaklaşık 1000 kelime derlenmiştir. Bu kelimelerden 100 tanesi anlam, köken, yapı ve şekil açısından incelenmiş, bunların yüzde 89'unun Türkçe olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bölgede yaklaşık 150 yıl öncesine kadar konar-göçer yaşayan Türk aşiretleri, kültür ve dillerini dış tesirlerin etkisi altında kalmadan günümüze kadar ulaştırmayı başarmışlardır. Ayrıca 40 kelimenin de tarihi gelişim süreci incelenmiş ve bu kelimelerin bugün Anadolu ağızlarındaki durumları üzerinde durulmuştur. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
