- Abstract:
The article discusses the book "May It Please the Court...," a collection of twenty-three famous United States Supreme Court's oral arguments, edited by Peter Irons. The author is critical of the editor's honesty, suggesting that Irons is not objective and takes sides in debates over the Court's role in the U.S. constitutional system. The article discusses many of the cases covered in the book, and points out flaws with Irons' interpretation of each.
