The article provides information on the proposed legislation for the 1976 Copyright Act of the U.S. that will undermine copyright protections for artists. It discusses the Orphan Works Report issued by the U.S. Copyright Office on January 23, 2006 that recommends the U.S. Congress to make changes to the 1976 Copyright Act.
