      The article looks at the conflict between the religious and secular world-views, as of 2014. The author argues that in Great Britain and Europe, people who do not adhere to contemporary, permissive views on issues such as gay rights and abortion, often Christians, Jews, or Muslims whose views are grounded in their religious beliefs, are being silenced and discriminated against, including by governments. She calls for a reversal of what she describes as a growing intolerance of religious people.
