    • Abstract:
The article offers a look at the social services provided by the Salvation Army. It is an evangelical church and its charity is not simply service for service's sake, but service to people who are in need they can not hear the word of the God of the Salvationists. A covenant called the Articles of War is signed by people who join the Salvation Army and are then called soldiers. It offers food, shelter and employment services. Most of its principles are related to liberal principles, such as the encouragement of its members to join labor unions.
