- Abstract:
The article explains the victory of Republican Paul Coverdell over Democratic incumbent Wyche Fowler in the U.S. Senate race in Georgia on November 3, 1992. George, a state which leans to conservative views on family, taxation and business, is an anathema to Fowler. Fowler, to the core, is a liberal who favors more government spending and taxation. Coverdall, in contrast, is a conservative with distinguished records as a public servant in different capacity as a state legislator and as head of Peace Corps in 1989.
