- Abstract:
The author comments on the study "Collagen Cross-Linking Using Rose Bengal and Green Light to Increase Corneal Stiffness," by D. Cherfan et al published in a 2013 issue of "Invesigative Ophthalmology and Visual Scuence." The study reported the cross-linking effect of Rose Bengal on enucleated rabbit corneas. The author finds that the study has showed the potential of alternative corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL) agents that may allow thinner corneas to be cross-linked in a rapid procedure.
