- Abstract:
The article presents a discussion on the subject of rural economics. Rural economics is expected to get more attention in the future due to many factors. These factors include increasing density of population, higher prices of farm products and other problems associated with denser population. Only three groups or schools of rural economists are distinguishable. The first group includes agricultural economics, farm management along with a farmer's problems from an individual point of view, in the rural economics. On the other hand, the second group eliminates farm management. According to the third group, rural economics is nothing but a blend of ordinary economics and agriculture.
