      This section offers news briefs on activities of affiliates of the American Public Health Association (APHA) as of November 1, 2013. The APHA Affiliate in Illinois received a 450,000 U.S. dollar federal grant to help local health departments to charge patients for immunizations. In Wisconsin, APHA Affiliate joins the Wisconsin Safe Milk Coalition. The Georgia Public Health Association is sponsoring a photo contest for the Georgia Student Health and Physical Education program of the state.
