This article discusses the risks associated with technology. The harsh glare of the spotlights that is shown on the technological handiwork sometimes forces people to avert their gaze from the true object of our work. This survey is limited to one particular group in the agency, but the principles practiced in doing the survey are relevant across our industry. Incidentally, this steering committee has been assimilated into two existing councils. Its Information Systems/DSS subcommittee is now a part of the ARF's Markets place Measurement Council, and the Media Applications subcommittee is now a part of the Media Communications Council.
