- Abstract:
The article reports on the release of Florida Sensation, a new strawberry cultivar previously trialed as FL 09-127, by the University of Florida (UF) strawberry breeding program as of September 2013. Characteristics of Florida Sensation include high early and total yield similar to Florida Radiance, fruit size equal to or greater than Florida Radiance throughout the season, and bright red color that maintains fresh appearance postharvest. The new cultivar will be commercially available in 2014.
