Topics include the percentage of those diagnosed with hypertension in the U.S. that have their condition under control, the benefits of thiazide-type diuretics, various clinical trials, such as the Systolic Hypertension in the Elderly Program (SHEP), and the similarities and differences between the diuretics hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) and chlorthalidone (CTD).
