      Development of rural areas is one of the priorities of the EU. This was reflected both in the strategic documents (Lisbon Strategy, Europe 2020), various programs and EU funds earmarked for this purpose. One of the major programs is the Leader. Large role in the implementation of this program and the objectives set out in documents play Local Action Groups (LAG). Therefore, the aim of the article is to provide an opinion of LAG about the effectiveness of program Leader on the example of West Pomeranian Voivodeship.       Rozwój obszarów wiejskich jest jednym z priorytetów UE. Znalazło to odzwierciedlenie zarówno w dokumentach strategicznych (Strategia Lizbońska, Strategia Europa 2020), różnych programach, jak i funduszach unijnych przeznaczonych na ten cel. Jednym z ważniejszych programów jest Leader. Dużą rolę w realizacji tego programu oraz celów określonych w dokumentach odgrywają Lokalne Grupy Działania (LGD). Z tego względu celem artykułu jest przedstawienie opinii LGD na temat skuteczności programu Leader na przykładzie województwa zachodniopomorskiego.
