The article describes the seven infections caused by ticks including its causative pathogen, symptoms, and treatment. It states that the seven tick infections are babesiosis, anaplasmosis, and ehrlichiosis. It also discusses the preventive measures against tick-borne disease which includes identification of common site of tick attachment, choosing proper clothing, and using repellents that contain 20% dimethyltoluamide (DEET).
