      The article contains the results of research of dependences among intellectual capital potential identified as human resources for sciences and technologies as well as knowledge intensive services with economic potential measured as GDP level. The analyses concern the whole European Union from the regional perspective, as well as chosen countries. The econometric model in research was used as well as the spatial simulations with the use of the Statistica packet. The received results show that despite generally similar trends studied relations have an individual character on the regional level. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      Artykuł zawiera wyniki badania zależności pomiędzy potencjałem kapitału intelektualnego, utożsamianym z zasobami ludzkimi dla nauki i techniki oraz usługami opartymi na wiedzy a potencjałem gospodarczym mierzonym poziomem PKB. Analizy dotyczą ujęcia regionalnego zarówno dla całej Unii Europejskiej, jak i dla wybranych państw. W badaniach wykorzystano model ekonometryczny oraz symulacje przestrzenne z zastosowaniem pakietu Statistica. Otrzymane wyniki wskazują, że mimo podobnych trendów badane relacje na poziomie regionalnym charakteryzują się wyraźną indywidualnością. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
