A case study is provided on racial and ethnic hierarchy in Miami, Florida from 1945 through 1965. An overview of the social aspects of the Hispanic population in Miami, including the Miami mayor Robert King High's support of the city's Hispanicization, is provided. Race and ethnic discrimination in Miami, including in relation to tourism in the city, is discussed.
