En reiteradas ocasiones se oye de la actuación o preocupación social de la masonería en determinado período y/o sociedad. En la mayoría de esas ocasiones se hace referencia a una logia o masón, lo cual no necesariamente implica la actuación o posición del cuerpo masónico que rige en ese país o región. Por lo antes expuesto se ha optado por elegir al órgano de prensa oficial de la masonería cubana como vía para develar la posición que asumió esta masonería ante los problemas de la sociedad cubana en los años 1920 a 1924. La posición develada no corresponde a un particular sino a la institución toda, las opiniones de personas vertidas en la revista reflejan que la Gran Logia de Cuba las aceptó y asumió como suyas. Los principales problemas abordados en el período fueron la economía, las leyes y la enseñanza, en la mayoría de ellas se relacionan con el necesario carácter laico del Estado y sus instituciones. We frequently hear about masonry, its deeds and its social concern on a certain time or society. Most of the times it refers to a specific lodge or mason, not necessarily to the whole body of masons that rules that specific country or area. That's why this work applies for an official press that reveals the position of masonry towards the social issues in the years 1920 to 1924. The position does not correspond unveiled to a particular institution but to the whole, the views of people expressed in the journal show that the Grand Lodge of Cuba, accepted and assumed as their own. The main issues addressed in the period were the economy, law and teaching, most of them are related to need a secular state and its institutions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
