- Abstract:
The article considers how the failure of the Arab armed militia groups known as the Army of Sacred Jihad (Jaysh al-Jihad al-Muqaddas) and the Rescue Army (Jaysh al-Inqadh) to create ciphers which were unbreakable helped lead to their failure during the 1948 Palestinian War against the Jewish armed forced, who later become known as Israelis. Topics considered include cryptography, the United Nations Resolution 181 partitioning Arab states for the creation of Israel, and the military records of the Israel Defence Forces Archives in Tel Hashomer, Israel.
