In this essay we shall discuss Justice as a public conflict-solving system promoted by the state, as well as the reforms necessary for its effectiveness in a globalized world. While the logic of privatization appears to be consensually disconnected from the field of Justice, the paradigmatic changes seem to be more intricate both in their genesis and implementation. Neste ensaio discute-se a Justiça enquanto sistema público de resolução de conflitos promovido pelo Estado assim como as reformas necessárias para a sua eficácia num mundo globalizado. Enquanto a lógica privatizadora parece consensualmente afastada da área da Justiça, as mudanças paradigmáticas parecem mais complicadas, quer na sua génese, quer na sua implementação.
