      The article discusses the animation industry in Korea. Particular focus is paid to several Korean animated films which achieved commercial success in 2011 including "Leafie, A Hen into the Wild," directed by Oh Sung-youn, and "The King of Pigs," directed by Yeun Sang-ho. In addition, the author presents a historical overview of the Korean animation industry, beginning with the early ventures of the 1950s.
