    • Abstract:
This article deals with post-revolutionary Soviet realities as they were reflected in the Polish-language names given to certain jobs/occupations within the pages of the "Trybuna Radziecka," a Polish-language newspaper published in Moscow (Russia) in 1927-1938. The author focuses upon 81 specific job titles/occupations mentioned within the newspaper in this period, many of which were Russicisms/Sovietisms/Soviet abbreviations. The names used by the Polish left-leaning intelligentsia in the Soviet Union, the author notes, also became adopted along the Polish-Soviet northern/northeastern borderlands--with 23 such terms identified as being used in the inter-war period, and 19 surviving in popular use within the Polish language in the northeastern area of Poland after the end of the Second World War.
