The article informs that a new type of seismic shield is being made by French scientists Sebastien Guenneau and colleagues that may help protect buildings from earthquake. It is noted that researchers tested their system in loose soil outside Grenoble, France. It is noted that they predicted that the soil surrounding building could be turned into a giant shield by the seismic shield to protect them from seismic waves.
