    • Abstract:
      The main task of this article is to describe the problem of waste disposal, description of work, management, and calculation of the hydraulic system of press-baler. The importance of press-baler for disposal, recycling and waste handling is explained. The machine is designed so that it can press all types of communal waste. In the majority of cases it is paper, cardboard, and plastic and aluminium packing. Electro-hydraulic control system manages the machine. The machine can be operated in two modes, manual and automatic. Manual operation is used only during servicing and maintenance of press-baler, while the automatic mode is used for pressing and baling waste. All physical values needed to create electro-hydraulic baling system were calculated, and on the base of calculated values key elements were selected from the catalogue of hydraulic components. The safety at twisting of connecting rod during workload was evaluated with calculation, which ensures us that the machine works reliably and safely. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      Sažetak: Glavni zadatak ovog članka je opisati problem zbrinjavanja otpada, opisati rad i upravljanje te proračun hidrauličkog sustava preše-balirke. Objašnjena je važnost preše-balirke kod zbrinjavanja, rukovanja i reciklaže otpada. Stroj je izrađen tako da se njime može prešati i balirati sve vrste komunalnog otpada, a u većini slučajeva to je papir, karton te plastična i aluminijska ambalaža. Upravljanje strojem omogućuje elektrohidraulički sustav upravljanja. Strojem se može upravljati ručno i automatski. Ručni rad se koristi samo prilikom servisiranja i održavanja balirke, dok se automatski način rada koristi kod prešanja i baliranja otpada. Izračunate su sve fizikalne veličine potrebne za izradu elektrohidrauličkog sustava preše-balirke, te su na temelju tih vrijednosti odabrani ključni elementi sustava iz kataloga proizvođača hidrauličkih elemenata. Proračunom je ispitana sigurnost na izvijanje klipnjača prilikom opterećenja, što nam osigurava da stroj radi pouzdano i sigurno. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
