The article reports on the decision by Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd. (NFCL) to invest 4,500 crore rupees for the construction of a new urea plant in Andhra Pradesh, India. The move comes after the new urea investment policy was announced by the government in December 2012 which targets to increase production of the substance by 8 to 9 million tonnes. NFCL stated that the cost of its brownfield expansion will be funded through a combination of debt and equity.
