      The author expresses his views on the use of contingent fee arrangements in the preparation of the Scientific Research & Experimental Development tax incentive claims. A consultation on the issue was launched by the Department of Finance and Canada Revenue Agency on August 2, 2012. It is said that the tax incentive program urges Canadian businesses to do research and development in the country. It is noted that the fee arrangements are made pursuant to a request for proposals.
