      The fear and suspicion gripping the Lebanese city of Sidon suggested that once the Israelis complete their pullout, southern Lebanon will erupt as rival Christian, Druze and Shi'ite Moslem militias vie for supremacy. From the Israeli's point of view, the heightened danger of guerrilla attacks made the withdrawal all the more urgent.
